Replaced the stock tail & tag light with a Cat eye light (mounted where the tag light was. It is a brake light that also illuminates the plate.) Both are dual filament bulbs but the stock tail light is 3 wire (ground, running, brake) while the new is only 2 wire (running, brake). The new one grounds itself from attaching to the bike itself. Problem is that it is mounted on the stock liscense plate bracket which is RUBBER mounted (no ground). I can attach a wire to the housing of the light for ground, but where should I run it. Do I run it with the other 2 wires and attach it to the original ground wire, or should I attach it to the bike itself. If to the bike is the fender ok, or should it be somewhere else.
If it is not grounded properly, what can happen.
